San Francisco, CA

In 2011 I moved from Columbus, OH to Portland, OR. Now that I was only a short flight away from San Francisco I made the trip down and stayed with friends for a few days. These are a few of my snaps from the trip. San Francisco was sunny and colorful, a welcome change from Portland's constant winter drizzle.

Summer means plenty of sun and spending time outdoors with friends and family. To capture that summer feel I purposefully shot with my aperture wide open to blow-out highlights and processed my images to make them feel light and sun drenched.

At Home on the Rangefinder

I started learning the basics of photography with an old Yashica FX-2 that my Uncle lent me. I then made the leap to a DSLR. It's ability to shoot endlessly with little expense helped me refine my eye. Now I'm back to shooting with film cameras. I've fallen in love with rangefinders. They are small, petite, and discrete compared to their SLR brethern.
